The equipment used in these courses have been evaluated as Hazard Risk Category 1 (HRC-1). In accordance with NFPA 70E standards, HRC-1 rated equipment requires the following PPE for personnel working inside the arc flash boundary:
Fire Retardant clothing (rated HRC-1 or 4 cal)
, rubber gloves, safety glasses, and hard hat.
Attendees must be wearing appropriate protective clothing as specified. If traveling by air we can provide a limited number of hard hats with arc face shields if required ,rubber/leather gloves and safety glasses. If driving, please bring your own PPE.
Any student who fails to comply will not be allowed in the lab areas for any hands on training portion of this class.

This course is designed to provide maintenance, engineering and operations personnel with an overview of the Centac centrifugal compressor.
Agenda:
Day 1:
Principles of operation, airflow, hydraulic flow, identification of mechanical and electrical components, control panel with amperage software.
Day 2:
Routine service and maintenance, basic troubleshooting techniques.
Day 3:
Disassembly, assembly and calibration of rotor assemblies (type 1-2-3 & 6).

Description:
This course is designed to provide maintenance, engineering, and operations personnel with an in-depth overview of the Centac centrifugal compressor.
Agenda:
Day 1:
Basic compressor principles, principles of operation of centrifugal compressors, identification of mechanical and electrical components, control panel with Amperage software.
Day 2:
Hands-on activities include disassembly of complete Centac airend and evaluation of components, verification of the running gear system, installation of rotors and setting rotor clearances.
Days 3 - 5:
Hands-on activities continue with installation and assembly of the running gear and rotor assesmbly components, and rotor assembly componet calibration.
