Some common solvents are paint thinners (toluene, turpentine), glue solvents (acetone, methyl acetate, ethyl acetate), spot removers (e.g. hexane, petrol ether), liquid detergents (citrus terpenes) and perfumes (ethanol). Ingersoll Rand/ ARO recommends the use of groundable acetal and stainless steel materials of construction for use in solvent transfer applications.
