ANNANDALE, N.J. — Ingersoll-Rand Productivity Solutions would like to congratulate Kasey Kahne, and the entire Evernham Motorsports No. 9 team on an incredible week of competition.
Kahne’s victory in Richmond, Virginia Saturday, May 14, follows an impressive rookie year, where he finished second on five occasions on his way to being named the NASCAR Rookie of the Year.
“Kahne and his team have portrayed the same power, speed, and durability in their racing that NASCAR teams and pit crews have come to expect from Ingersoll-Rand tools,” said Leif Selstad, Ingersoll-Rand director of worldwide marketing-vehicle services.
Kahne credits his pit crew for his win at the Chevy American Revolution 400, citing unbelievable pit stops that helped him win his first title.
The pit crew’s performance carried over to last weekend’s NEXTEL Pit Crew Challenge, a competition aimed at showcasing the skills of NASCAR’s pit crews. Kahne’s team took home a grand prize of $70,000 for changing four tires and filling the tank with fuel in only 16.14 seconds, toping the 17.83 seconds it took for Jamie McMurray’s crew to complete the same task in the final round.
Ingersoll-Rand Productivity Solutions, makers of the ThunderGun® impact wrench used by 100 percent of NASCAR Nextel Cup pit crews, is proud to sponsor Evernham Motorsports and support their quality drivers and crews.
