ANNANDALE, N.J. — Ingersoll-Rand’s Productivity Solutions unit, a leading supplier of tools and technologies for the automotive and motorcycle industries, has launched its “Win A Chopper” contest, through which one lucky grand prize winner can drive away with a custom-built motorcycle designed by Orange County Choppers (as seen on the Discovery Channel).
From now untill September 26, 2005, participants can log on to www.irtools.com/winachopper for complete rules and submit their application information, and detail in a 100-word or less essay, “Why I Couldn’t Do Without My Ingersoll-Rand Tools.” Contestants can also submit their applications by mail to “Ingersoll-Rand Win A Chopper Essay Contest,” 502 East Locust, Des Moines, Iowa 50309.
Each month, one winner will be selected to receive three of IR’s latest automotive tools. The monthly winners will then be eligible for the grand prize: a titanium-themed Ingersoll-Rand chopper (valued at $75,000). The second place contestant will win “The Ultimate IR Garage,” which consists of $5,000 worth of IR tools and equipment.
“ We are excited to show our appreciation for all professional mechanics and hobbyists who rely on Ingersoll-Rand tools and have helped make IR one of the most widely used and trusted brand of tools and equipment," said Leif Selstad, director of worldwide marketing for IR Vehicle Service Solutions.
